But I'm glad Jon and Yuki is joining me this year! It feels kinda cool - pretending to be a 師姐 and advice them how to row. LOL

Like what Karina said, it was really fun but the route from tai wai --> tai mei tuk was alot quicker than we anticipated.

Jack (NK Bi) kept rushing us "Faster. Faster. 趕著去飲啊!"

3. Karaoke
Fiona picked alot of the songs I like. And Chris picked alot of the songs that I don't recognize. haha

In the end, I am still most comfortable with Janice and 國語 songs. =)

Sore Losers

Our team used to play the "spotting-cute-girls/guys-in-IFC" game all the time. While walking around with Jon, Iris, and Alex...

J: Let's do something else today.
J: Let's count how many ppl are shorter than sandy and iris.
A: haha 好啊！

Then suddenly, 1, 2, 7...more than 10 shorter-than-me ppl appeared...hahaha I love Hong Kong!!

Iris and I started howling in laughter.

Marriage Life?

Iris has been staying over at my place since Friday night. So we have been inseparable for the past 53 hours!!! I wonder if the guards downstairs think I'm gay...haha

And we're still stuck together in the office on a sunday afternoon. >.<

True Meaning of Valentines

I remember 3 years ago, I spent valentines with Jessic. We were both sitting at my place watching movies and feeling a bit sour.

But today, I keep getting a warm feeling inside when seeing sweet couples holding hands & flowers on the MTR.

I am so happy. 我想我真的習慣一個人了。 我過關啦! =) I once heard one's biggest fear in life is being alone. And because of this fear, comes unhappy relationships and wrong marriages.

So I hope those are still single are wiser than that.

Ladies: unability to find someone doesn't make you a failure in life. You just have to be patient. And even if fate never knocks on the door, you don't have to live in misery.

There's always Sandee who's fun to hang out with. haha

But of course to those who are happily in love, I truly wish you a very very Happy Valentines Day!! 一年甜密過一年! keke

Black Friday

I spilled mayo, oil + BBQ sauce on my white skirt today!!

But I was able to 化解 using Jon's Tide stain remover pen.
And most importantly - MASTER SUNG'S 吉祥物! hahahaha

My cousin Dan used to have this poster hanging in his room.
I used to think it's just very cute.



But he later explained, there's a political meaning behind it.
It's titled The Failure of Marxism (by Michael Bedard).

I wanted to grab a copy but it's impossible to find!
Maybe I should go to SZ and have them reproduce it? keke

A story to share

With one more km to go at the marathon, I ran pass 2 random guys walking in front of me. And they started conversing in Cantonese:

G1: Why she still running? We're almost there already.
G2: Maybe cuz she wants to look cool at the finish line.
G1: haha

After I heard that, it inspired me to run even faster.

Dim Sum @ Metropolis

The team had dim sum with Louis and Echo today. We got into a conversation of how Winnie makes taro cake. Yet she never brings any to the office.

Standard Chartered 10K Marathon

Taken right before the race @ 5:50AM.


Stretching...

My original goal was to reach the mid-point (within an hour) so I don't get disqualified. So I just kept running and running.

But to my surprise, I finished the race in 1 hr and 13 mins! haha

Life's a marathon.
Low expectations + best efforts = surprising results!

With the lack of practice, I was quite proud that I made it through. =) But I know I will definitely pay for it later. Lots and lots of salonpas patches required tonight!! haha

Anyone up for it again next year?

2009 Beat the Banana Charity Run

I signed up to volunteer for this event! It is a 3-5km run organized by the World Cancer Research Fund Hong Kong.

The goal is to outrun the banana ahead! haha
Sounds wacky, huh?

Umich organized an happy-hour event tonight at Prive.

Even though Celia, Iris, and I arrived at different times, we all had the same reaction.

The place is alot smaller than what I expected. No wonder why people say it's always a long line there at night la! haha

So why do people pay a fortune for the membership?

Went to pick up the marathon stuff at Victoria Park. It's such a beautiful day! =)



With a bad knee and lack of practice, I've decided not to run.
However, I will walk it though! haha

Birthday Celebration!

As I was telling Jack, the initial plan was to head to Macau and throw in my life savings - one shot. All or nothing ma.



But Lu, Wendy, and Bonita suggested karaoke lunch.



Followed by dinner with Iris and Karina. Then drinks with Iris and Celia. So I had to put the "Macau-strike-it-rich" scheme on hold. =P haha

Walking around Langham, the 3 of us thought these bracelets were cute. Can you guess which is my wrist?



Yup, the one with hairy arms. LOL



It feels weird but kinda cool to be a free-loader all day.
