Egypt (Nov 6 - 15th)

In a few hours, I will be boarding on a plane to Egypt! So excited!


(This trip is partially inspired by one of my favorite movies, The Bucket List)

But before I go, let me also leave you with one of my favorite quotes:

Attitude is Altitude!

It is very fascinating to hear about Nick Vujicic's adventures - scuba diving, golf, horse-back riding, the great wall, surfing, parachuting, and travels around the world to give testimonials.

Even though, he has no arms and legs!!

He was truly inspiring. I wanted to run on stage and give him a big hug!

If we pray for something and it's God's will, it'll happen in His time. If it's not God's will for it to happen, then I know that He has something better.

But I honestly wish God will grant him one gift. And that is love.

I really hope he finds a life-time partner! =)

Jon and Abe's manly advice:

First Fitness rocks!

Fu is covering Anna for body combat tonight. Chatted with her for a bit at the showers. She is just so nice!

In fact, I think all the class instructors @ FF are really cool.

You know it is around corner when Starbucks starts serving gingerbread latte.

But it is still one of my favorite drinks though! =)

EAG Uniform

Li Ning is the proud sponsor of our uniforms for the EAG this year! And Vivienne Tam designed it.

We received a pair of sneakers, 2 polo-tees, pants, 1 jacket and a cap. Besides the cap, everything else was oversized! haha



And as you can see - it's all in red. My dad said I look like a 利是封. But personally, I think I look like a really cool 解放軍!

Weight off my shoulders

Body combat nearly drained the life out of me tonight.
Body pump played a song I haven't heard in ages.
Beginning goes like this:

There's nothing you can do or say.

Then when the chorus came on - I couldn't help singing along!

But now I'm STRONGER than yesterday,

And ended up lifting the bar when I'm not supposed to.
Paolo (the instructor) kinda smirked at me. So embarassing!

Oh and the incident I was quite worried about for the entire week - it turned out to be fine! He actually talked to me today.

Admiralty MTR Station

It is just not very baby / elderly / handicap - friendly.

Many exits are stairs only. One of my colleague actually fainted before.

Today, I saw 2 helpless women with 2 babies on strollers so I offered to help them. By the time, I was done with 4 trips - my heart was pounding! Panting like a puppy.

I think I can rightfully skip body pump tonight. haha

Starbucks

Went to Starbucks with Kaori after the gym. It was really fun just chatting with her.

She made me realize:
- I'm such an idiot (sometimes).
- Not as Chinese as I thought I am. Only 60%?
- Still haven't found a cup I like for the office. It's been 3 ys!!
- Not all gym instructors are gay. In fact, most are straight
- (SHOCKING)!
- And I cherish this city alot.

Free arm pouch!

For the Std Chtr marathon - they are giving away free arm pouches if you enroll before Nov 1.

Last week, they were out of stock so the branch people told me to come back later. Finally got it today!

The strap doesn't work that well though. But since it's free, no complaining!!! =)

Cycling @ Taipo

Because of various reasons - many people couldn't make it.

In the end, 3 of us went anyway. But it was still alot of fun! :)



I always love dropping by the HK science park.
Best place to sit down and chill.

We cornered Wu Lai to spill some gossip.
- Vicky asked nicely.
- Stan offered him a free meal.
- I threatened him.

But it didn't work. His mouth was seal tight. =P

Disney After-Dark

This is the gang's 1st year going to Disney instead of Ocean Park!



To be honest, I think OP is better. But then it's probably because we became braver and stronger over the years! =P



And best thing about Disney - tons of shopping! haha

Love is quite 麻煩

After the gym, I went to meet up with X tonight.

She suddenly started crying! I was a little scared and didn't know what to say. So I gave her a big hug. SIGH.

Over the years, I've learned - don't give your heart away so easily. True love is like those trade-in only shops.

If a guy genuinely cares - he will also give you his heart, instead of breaking yours into two.

I couldn't help sharing this with my colleagues today:

Gary told me he's moving into a new apartment.

You know me -- I usually get overexcited when it comes to home decor! So I started offering to go check out IKEA with him. And even invited him to my apt to see if he likes the bed frame I got. Blah Blah Blah....

Then Gary gave me a really strange look. And mumbled something about being too tired.

Later on, my dad called.

G: Oh, your dad lives with you?

At that moment, I really wanted to laugh. What was he thinking?
That I live alone. I'll change into a lingerie and seduce him?

HAHAHAHAHA.

Jon: U should have told him - ur bed is really big and comfortable. And enough for 2 ppl!

I never treat people differently because of their gender. Only people I like and people I stay away from.

But my colleagues are right - sometimes being excessively friendly may lead into alot of misunderstandings here in HK.

Almost lost my watch @ the gym tonight.

But luckily, someone returned it to the front desk.

On a separate note, I had dinner with FF gang again.

Everyone was sharing how their pets all came to accidental deaths.
- Abby's bird died because she fed him sugus candy.
- Allan gave his rabbit a suntan. He died from too much exposure.

I'm surprised we're not related. Reminds me of my two pets.

My mom

Mom called twice today to tell me how much she liked the bracelet I got her! haha

I"m just really happy that she's happy. =)

Tuesday Blues

On my way to work this morning, my shoe strap suddenly broke!
And it is very gloomy outside.

1) Have a feeling today is going to be a bad day...
2) Why no replies at all?
3) Remind me never to take Stan's advice again. Always 屎橋！

WWF -- Mangrove Trail

At first, we thought about renting binoculars just to pose for pictures. But they turned out to be pretty useful! haha




There were many types of birds but we saw mainly the white ones. And I already forgot their names!



The tour guide said we can take a 15-minute break. We used it to practice yoga and body combat.





The tour guide also said a certain species usually fly to S. Korea in the summer to breed ("搵老婆").

But for some reason 7 birds stayed behind this year. My guess is they are either very lazy or gay.




See - even birds fly a thousand miles for love. I think mankind needs to learn from our avian friends.





I was having problems with my binoculars. Then Karina gave me the best tip of the day: Sandee, did you remember to open your eyes?

Married women are usually filled with words of wisdom. =)

Judy's Birthday

According to the bible, growing old is a punishment from God. But honestly, I don't see it that way.

There are always certain things I enjoy that comes with age.
(ie: I'd definitely appreciate a back massage much more now than 10 years ago! keke)

Social Conformity

Someone "passed gas" on the very crowded train this morning.

Then everyone started holding their nose. The odor was bad but it wasn't THAT unbearable.

But you know how it works - if you don't follow suit, people will think it was you! So I quickly held my nose and faked a very nauseated look. Not me. not me.

Fitness First Rocks!

Tonight, Gary stayed an extra 1/2 hour to correct my body combat moves. That was really really nice of him! =)

I was punching with all my might like a lunatic. Then after a few minutes:

S: Am I hurting you?
G: No.

THAT. was dissappointing.

We joined the FF gang for dinner afterwards. It was really fun just getting to know everyone outside the gym. =)

BOA Lunch

Everyone is suddenly very health conscious. We kept chatting about dieting plans and exercising. Here's some updates:

- Ivy wakes up at 6am every morning to swim.
- Jimmy broke up with his gf and runs marathons now.
- Karina got us disney tix and placed them in a really cute 利是封.
- Agnes just got back from Switzerland.
- Ann wants to introduce a guy to me -- ERIC CHAN!!!

Then everyone bursted out laughing. She has no idea we know each other (a little too well).

Now we all wanna know Eric's reaction when Ann tells him I was the "筍盤" she was referring to. HAHAHAHAHA

Got this feeling he's going to take sick leave.

A first grade girl handed in the drawing below for a homework assignment.



After it was graded and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note:

I want to be very clear on my child's illustration. It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint. I work at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm.

2 women fighting on the bus!

Story: In SF Chinatown, one black woman was hogging 2 seats on the bus with her bag and refused to let a chinese woman sit down.



I used to see this pretty often in NY. And hate to tell you -- 70% of the time, it is discrimination. So I'm glad the 台山 lady stood up for herself!

I know I shouldn't be promoting violence. But that "push kick" -- I just learned that in body combat class!

And she did a fight stance too. SO 經.

S.O.S.

Those who know me - I am really attracted to sporty guys. But everyone said that isn't really practical. So I was thinking as alternative...

1. A chef (so I don't have to cook).
2. A video store owner (watch all the DVDs in the world).
3. An Alaskan (my kid can get into Harvard).

But at this moment, I just wanna marry a translator!!

So stuck on writing this chinese report right now. 死得。
